Advantages of MBR flat membrane

Strong anti-fouling ability: Featuring a rigid plate-type structure with adjustable membrane spacing, intensive turbulent flushing is generated via aeration. This structure prevents tangling of hair and sludge clumps. It runs stably under high sludge concentrations of 8,000–15,000 mg/L and delivers an extended cleaning cycle (up to 3 months or longer).
Excellent and stable effluent quality: With a membrane pore size of 0.01–0.1 μm, the membrane effectively intercepts suspended solids (SS), colloids, bacteria and viruses. The treated effluent achieves SS < 5 mg/L and turbidity < 1 NTU. No tertiary treatment is required for water reuse, and the system boasts strong shock load resistance.
Easy maintenance & low replacement cost: Adopting a modular single-sheet design, damaged membrane elements can be replaced individually instead of replacing the entire module. Online and offline cleaning procedures are straightforward; single sheets can be detached for separate washing or chemical soaking, drastically cutting operation and maintenance costs.
High mechanical strength & long service life: Constructed from PVDF/PTFE composite with a non-woven backing layer, the membrane is stretch-proof, tear-resistant and abrasion-resistant. It eliminates filament breakage risks and tolerates frequent chemical cleaning cycles. Its service life is 2–3 times longer than that of hollow fiber membranes.
Compact layout & small footprint: Secondary sedimentation tanks, sand filters and other auxiliary units are eliminated. The system features high volumetric loading capacity, with a 30%–50% smaller footprint compared to conventional processes, ideal for projects with limited land space.
